GERONNEN 4 — Glass Vase

A square sheet, four openings. The glass runs down beneath them and becomes the legs.

The piece starts as a precise cut on flat float glass. Fired overnight at around 800 °C, the sheet loses its rigidity and sinks through under its own weight. What runs down cools into four legs, each holding the water for its own stem. The plate above stays open and holds the arrangement together. Nothing is cut afterwards, nothing corrected.

The pull can be steered, never fixed. No two pieces come out the same, so every one is photographed and numbered individually.

Made to order. Every piece is numbered, one of a kind, and comes with a signed certificate and box.
